About our Church

Chorley Methodist Church is today’s Methodist denominational presence close to the town

centre and serving the large community that forms the heart of Chorley borough.

The current church was created with the vision of being a strong, well resourced, united Christian witness to the people of Chorley and is the amalgamation of the former Park Road and Trinity congregations. In a bold move, the church made the decision to retain the Gillibrand Walks site and undertake a significant upgrade of the church. Rededicated in 2013, the church building has been creatively transformed into a welcoming, accessible and comfortable multi-use space while retaining key architectural features. Our school halls remain a very busy hub for church and community groups ranging from Toddlers to daycare provision for the elderly and vulnerable.

Our worship (focused on Sunday, 10:30am service) is varied in style as we are led by our ministers or local preachers – and both organists and our worship band make contributions!

We have opportunities open to all for fellowship and study – and these are complimented by our very busy social life with regular and one-off activities for all age groups. Details of our activities are to be found below – but do feel able to make contact for further information – but better still, come along and see what goes on!
