The post holder will provide individual needs-led information, support and advocacy to GP patients experiencing DVA. The right applicant will provide pro-active and structured services, whilst developing personal support packages that focus on risk management and safety planning. The Advocate will support the IRIS Advocate Educator and Clinical Lead in providing on-going training for health professionals in general practice on understanding and responding to domestic violence and abuse (DVA) Previous experience of directly supporting vulnerable adults and an understanding of the dynamics of domestic and sexual abuse is essential.
