News for your District from Action for Children

Hello from Action for Children!

I hope all your preparation for Christmas has been going well.

This month, in addition to sharing our news, I'll be highlighting some of your news and am also sharing a link to a survey that my colleagues are using to reflect on our campaigns. I hope that you will have time to complete this.

Wishing you a blessed Advent and a very happy Christmas.

Supporting families to move on from domestic abuse: Emily’s story

Campaign with us

Our front line services are seeing more children at risk of harm, rising mental health concerns and an increase in child poverty. This isn’t just bad luck. Young people are in crisis, yet vital support services are being cut. We won’t stop fighting until every child grows up safe and happy. But, alone, our voice isn’t enough.

Please support us by signing a petition, speaking with your MP or sharing our campaigns with friends and family. You’re joining a movement improving the lives of children in the UK. Find out more about how you can help here.

News from the Districts

Our friends from Manchester and Stockport District have been in touch to share some of the activities they have been doing to support us:

"One of our churches (Alderley Edge) have just had an evening to raise funds for Action for Children. It was held on 3rd December and The United Christian Singers came to present A Christmas Cantata entitled "A Night of Miracles”. Light refreshments were served and donations were collected and sent off to Action for Children. A lovely evening was had by all."

"An all-day collection at Macclesfield Railway Station; Gawsworth Girl's Brigade took part in Boycott Your Bed this year and last year".
